A Deckbuilder Built Around the Whole Party

At the core of Rogue Reigns is a party-based approach to deckbuilding. Players control three heroes simultaneously, with each character bringing their own deck, abilities and role to the battlefield. Managing the strengths and relationships between the three heroes is central to building an effective party and adapting to the challenges of each run.

Limited rewards and evolving encounters force players to make meaningful strategic decisions throughout their journey, while character synergies and multiple party compositions create opportunities for different builds and playstyles.

“We’ve spent years studying what makes deckbuilders compelling and listening closely to the community around the genre,” said Hugo Neri, CEO of Venn Studios. “With Rogue Reigns, we wanted to build an experience where the entire party matters, every decision can change the course of a run, and players are constantly discovering new combinations and strategies. The upcoming playtest is an important opportunity for us to bring that experience to more players and continue refining the game ahead of launch.”

Built by Deckbuilder Experts, Designed for the Community

Before becoming a game studio, Venn Studios built its reputation inside the deckbuilding community. Through its YouTube channel which now has more than 108,000 subscribers, the São Paulo-based team spent years analyzing the genre, publishing videos about deckbuilders, design philosophy and the systems that make these games work. That direct connection with players has helped shape Rogue Reigns from the ground up. The studio’s ongoing dialogue with fans and genre enthusiasts has informed multiple playtests and design iterations, helping transform the game into a systems-driven experience built with player feedback at its core.

Rogue Reigns Key Features:

Party-Based Deckbuilding – Control three heroes simultaneously, each with their own deck and role

Active Matter Launching September 15th on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PS5

Gaijin Entertainment and Matter Team is pleased to announce that hardcore online shooter Active Matter will launch on September 15, 2026 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Players who previously purchased the early version of Active Matter through the Gaijin Store will get access to the similar edition of the game on their Steam account for free. They will also be able to link their progress between the Gaijin Store and Steam versions, allowing them to continue playing on a PC platform of their choice without losing progression.

Watch the Active Matter Release Date Reveal Trailer Here

Active Matter is set in a hostile, unstable multiverse where realistic gunplay collides with twisted environments, gravity-defying anomalies, SCP-style strange objects and monsters. Enemies attack from unexpected angles, and locations like a Soviet closed island, a Central Africa quarantine zone and a dilapidated North American can feel familiar and alien at the same time. Players search for valuable active matter – a substance capable of bending time and space, fight aggressive quantum-unstable zone dwellers and fellow human operatives alike, complete objectives, secure loot, and get back to safety only to plan the next move.

“Active Matter was built around the idea of entering a place on our own Earth where almost nothing behaves the way it should – except your weapon,” said Andrey Zhbannikov, Game Director of Active Matter“We’re now ready to invite the gamers to the world we were building and polishing for the last few years”.

Early version of Active Matter was extensively tested at Gaijin.Net, with the latest major update featuring a decaying American city and new weapons coming in a few days. After the September launch, new updates will regularly bring even more new content and open doors to the new parts of the multiverse, full of anomalies and monsters that will bend your perception of reality.

Active Matter will be available for purchase in several editions, with the standard one priced at 29.99 USD/Euro in relevant regions.

STARSHIP JOB SIMULATOR CONTACT PROTOCOL, COMING TO PC AND CONSOLES SPRING 2027

Kinetic Publishing and Cold Zephyr Games have announced Contact Protocol, a starship job simulator set in a gritty cassette-future full of spaceships and CRTs. Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

Revealed as part of Kinetic Publishing’s first wave of titles at the Kinetic Publishing ShowcaseContact Protocol has you take on the role of a security officer onboard the starship Pale Horse, a GalCo mining vessel setting course to Jupiter’s largest moon. You’ll have to assess the intentions of approaching ships, compare the information they provide against company records, and determine whether they are friend or foe.

This is no simple admin job, however – as discrepancies are interrogated and requests for information are sent, the unknown ship approaches ever closer. Uncertainty can lead to disaster for the Pale Horse if a passing ship means harm, but choose to fire torpedoes out of caution and you just might doom a ship full of innocents. All the while the company is watching, with the threat of legal action looming if paperwork is mismanaged.

Contact Protocol is inspired by the simple premise that, when under pressure and inundated with information, people do not make good decisions!” said Mick Hunter, Lead Designer at Cold Zephyr Games. “We’ve engineered the game so that the player’s cognitive load is at its highest whenever they are faced with a difficult moral decision – and we want to challenge them to make choices that they won’t regret later down the line. It’s about towing the line between doing the job, and doing the right thing.”

Contact Protocol Features:

  • Investigate, Interrogate, Engage: Cross-reference incoming data bursts against company recordsprod for answers to explain discrepancies, and destroy incoming ships that don’t meet the mark
  • Multi-task: Fix contact frequencies, check hull images, and recover corrupted data – all while answering comms
  • Choices matter: Your decisions will affect your relationships with the crew and their narratives and will have knock-on effects throughout the solar system
  • Procedural starships: No two encounters will be the same, and no outcome can be predicted
  • A painted universe: Discover a striking sci-fi world as sketchy and hard-edged as the game’s distinct art style

Contact Protocol will launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

GRIZZY AND THE LEMMINGS – CRAZY PARTY IS OUT NOW ON CONSOLES AND PC

Balio Studio and French animation studio HARI have launched Grizzy and the Lemmings – Crazy Party, available now digitally on Nintendo Switch (Nintendo Switch 2 compatible), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store, priced at 35.99 GBP / 39.99 EUR / 39.95 USD / 6,490 JPY . The launch trailer is live, and every store link is gathered on the game’s official page.

The first console game adapted from the series, Crazy Party offers 50 mini games, 6 game modes and 5 boards drawn from the show’s settings, for 1 to 4 players in local multiplayer, in 30 languages. Like the series, which has run for ten years in 200 territories without a single line of dialogue, the game is understood by watching: every round opens with a briefing in pictures and button icons.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY PLAY

Each player controls a Lemming. All of them are after the same thing: Grizzy’s jar of Yummy spread.

Grizzy is closing in on his fridge, and the only way to hold him off is to throw his own dinner in his face. A bear turns his back at the end of the path, and the lemmings have to creep towards the jar without being caught moving. A lemming launcher smashes down a castle, and the loot goes to whoever grabs it first. A throwing contest is held where the projectile is… a lemming. A kart race means weaving between power-ups and one badly parked bear. And multicoloured chickens have to be herded into a pen they have absolutely no intention of entering.

Fridge Frenzy, Freeze or Fry!, Smash Castle, Launch Party, Drift Rush, Cluck Rush: six mini games out of fifty, six settings, six ways to fight over the same jar of Yummy.

EVERYONE IN THE SAME ROOM

Crazy Party is played by 1 to 4 players locally on every platform. No online play, no chat, no interaction with strangers: a deliberate choice for a game rated PEGI 3. When there are fewer than four of you, the empty slots are held by computer-controlled opponents, across all six modes and all fifty mini games. Along the way, 32 of the 40 Lemmings are unlocked by playing (from the pirate lemming to the penguin lemming) and 150 stickers await collectors.

“We built this game with one clear goal: for kids and parents to have fun and laugh together,” says Massimo Baglio, Co-Founder and CEO of Balio Studio. “That’s what we saw throughout our playtests, and from now on, it happens in your living room.”

Balio Studio was founded in Mons by three brothers, Massimo, Frédéric and Adriano Baglio, and has fifteen people today. Crazy Party is the first title the studio publishes itself.

KEY FEATURES

  • 50 mini games spanning action, reflex, timing and co-operative challenges
  • 6 game modes for different group sizes and session lengths
  • 5 boards inspired by the series: Ranger’s House, Nutty Hill Road, the Diamond Mine, the Yummy Factory and the Lunar Base
  • 40 characters, 32 of them unlockable, and 150 collectible stickers
  • 1 to 4 players in local multiplayer on every platform
  • Empty player slots are held by computer-controlled opponents
  • No online play, no chat, no interaction with strangers
  • Available in 30 languages

The game launches complete. Balio Studio then plans free content updates with new mini games.

Only one thing left to do: gather the family, pick your lemming, and start the first round.

Dark 3D platformer Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares Xbox Store Page Now Live

Indie studio Polycast Labs is proud to announce that Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares, a dark 3D platformer collectathon inspired by the golden era of early 2000’s gaming, has its official store page live and ready for wishlisting on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

The Xbox community can now show their support for the project by adding the title to their Wishlist directly through the Microsoft Store by clicking here

A Love Letter to early 2000s Classics on the Xbox Ecosystem

Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares brings back the pure, nostalgic magic of early 2000’s icons like Spyro the DragonBanjo-Kazooie, and Voodoo Vince. Blending acrobatic exploration, light combat, and environmental secret-hunting within a twisted, Tim Burton-inspired carnival of dreams, the game puts players in the oversized shoes of Bobo, a clumsy but golden-hearted circus jester.

During a high-stakes performance, Bobo accidentally cracks open the legendary “Chest of Nightmares,” inadvertently unleashing the DreamMaster: an ancient malevolent entity who freezes the kingdom in an eternal twilight and twists beautiful dreams into living nightmares. Guided by a mysterious floating companion, Bobo must rely on his fluid agility, chaining together double-jumps, wall-slides, and umbrella glides, to recover lost EchoMares and restore laughter to a fractured kingdom.

Why Wishlisting Matters for a Historic Solo Project

Developed entirely by a single person, David Ho, over the course of just one year, Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares represents a monumental technical achievement for independent game development.
“Seeing Bobo’s official store page live on Xbox is an incredibly rewarding milestone for me as a solo developer,” says David Ho, Founder and Solo Developer at Polycast Labs. “For an indie studio, every single addition to a Wishlist makes a monumental difference. It is the absolute best way for players to show their support, ensuring the Xbox ecosystem gives the game visibility on launch day and helping prove that classic, character-driven 3D platformers are still very much alive in the hearts and controllers of the community.”

Key Gameplay Features:

  • MASTER THE JESTER’S ACROBATICS: Chain together double-jumps, wall-slides, and umbrella glides to effortlessly navigate treacherous, highly vertical gothic realms from the very beginning of the adventure.
  • SOLVE MACABRE PUZZLES: Put your wits to the test! Manipulate the environment, decipher intricate mechanisms, and unlock hidden paths reminiscent of classic 3D adventure games.
  • EXPLORE A WHIMSICAL NIGHTMARE: Dive into the secrets of the Twilight Circus hub. Scavenge for Twilight Shards, rescue upgrade-driven Nightmare Wisps, and hunt down rare Voodoo Dolls tucked away in every corner.
  • CHART YOUR OWN PATH: Select your next challenge from the central hub and tackle realms in any order. Discover multiple routes and creative solutions designed to reward every playstyle and platforming skill level!
  • SURVIVE THEATRICAL BOSSES: Face spectacular, larger-than-life foes at the end of each world. Stack floating DreamMasks for visual health protection and unleash the invulnerable “Dreamburst” state to conquer your fears!

Players can head over to the Microsoft Store right now and add Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares to their Xbox Wishlist to be notified immediately the moment the game becomes available for purchase on October 30th, 2026.

Viktor’s imagination and creative legacy have been a constant source of inspiration throughout development, and this game is the result of an incredible collaborative effort from our entire team to bring that vision to life. We are proud to share it with players around the world in partnership with our publisher, 4Divinity.”
