Independent studio Stupidi Pixel has announced that it’s universe-hopping pachinko-themed turn-based roguelike Splatchinko will be launching onto Steam on November 12th.
Step into the omnipotent form of a world-devouring cosmic horror from the beginning of existence itself. After finding true love and leaving a life of planet chomping behind, your peace is shattered when a mysterious entity kidnaps your beloved. Armed with a really high amount of detachable, mutating eyes, it’s up to you to journey across the cosmos to bring them back! If half the universe accidentally gets destroyed along the way, we’ll just consider it collateral damage…
Splatchinko blends JRPG-style turn-based encounters with chaotic Pachinko gameplay, tasking you with taking enemies down using pachinko-style ricochets. Chain together rebounds and ricochets to build damage, trigger encounter-altering effects and unleash abilities capable of turning a carefully aimed shot into a spectacular cosmic disaster. At release, over 100+ eyes and 70+ mutations will be available to discover and synergise!
Key Features:
- Fire shots across peg-filled battlefields with pachinko-inspired combat encounters. Chain together ricochets to amplify damage, trigger screen-clearing explosions, and exploit chaotic physics!
- Build your alien run-by-run. Each acquired EYE alters rebound behaviour, status effects, and abilities. Feel free to experiment with different combos!
- Navigate procedural maps packed with strange planets, unpredictable third-contact encounters, risk-reward events, shops, and aggressive boss encounters.
- Stack upgrades to create deeply broken builds across a deeply confused galaxy. Your beloved awaits!
Splatchinko will launch on Steam later this year, on November 12, 2026. Wishlist it now ahead of launch and keep up with the latest development news on Stupidi Pixel’s Instagram and website, or by visiting the Stratos Publishing Instagram and website.

About Stupidi Pixel:
Stupidi Pixel is an indie studio based in Milan, founded by Fabio Taurisano, a tech artist and developer who is building Splatchinko as a solo dev: design, code, pixel art and animation, music. The studio’s motto: “if we didn’t have stupid ideas, we wouldn’t have fun games.”
Its track record includes Death Noodle Delivery, a cyberpunk remake of Paperboy released on Steam, the prototype Dr. HackDream, and several projects born from game jams.
About Stratos Publishing:
Stratos is the Italian hub that supports indie studios from development to launch and beyond. It exists because good games fail for reasons that have nothing to do with quality. Selection combines data and people, with a proprietary data analysis tool narrowing the field before the team works directly with the studio. Everything a studio needs to reach players then sits in one place: financing against clear milestones, QA, marketing and PR, porting, localisation, and a dedicated project manager who stays on the project after release. Stratos operates under Tied Company S.r.l.
