Today, indie studio Gaman Games is quietly launching Moonwakers into Early Access on Steam. No huge marketing campaign. No massive announcement. No promise of perfection. Just a game we wanted to finally put into your hands.
Moonwakers is an unconventional survival and exploration game that we like to describe as “chill-core”: a mix of atmospheric exploration, light survival mechanics, crafting and fluid traversal. At the heart of the experience is movement. You can glide across vast landscapes on a futuristic board, carving their way through snow, ash and the remnants of a world that feels strangely unfamiliar — and perhaps not quite as alien as it first appears.
Because one question lies at the heart of Moonwakers: What exactly is this world? An alien planet? A distant future? Or could it somehow be the future of humanity itself? We would rather let you discover the answer for yourselves.
Built around movement, exploration and atmosphere, Moonwakers takes you across hostile landscapes where they must search for resources, adapt to dangerous environmental conditions, find shelter and piece together the story of what happened to this world. It is a deliberately compact game created by a small independent team — and Early Access is an important part of its development.
The game is playable now, but the journey is not over. Systems will continue to evolve, balancing and polish will improve, and additional content is planned as development continues, including the final chapter of the story.
