Independent game studio Corgee Inc. announced that its sci-fi side-scrolling action shooter Angel Guardian will launch on November 3rd, 2026 for PC via Steam following its participation in October’s Steam Next Fest. The announcement comes as Steam Next Fest concludes, where players had the opportunity to experience an updated demo featuring three playable levels ahead of the game’s full release.
Inspired by ’90s anime, Angel Guardian takes place aboard Alterra, a space station kingdom under attack. You step into the role of Kita, an elite guardian sent to rescue young Prince Eiji. Armed with a sword and eight upgradeable rifles, they must fight through hostile forces using a combination of fast-paced combat, stealth, hacking, and exploration. Along the way, Eiji develops abilities that make him an increasingly valuable ally in battle.
One of the game’s standout features is its optional Twitch integration, which allows livestream audiences to directly influence gameplay. Viewers can spawn enemies, drop ammunition, or activate special abilities, turning each broadcast into a shared experience where chat can be the player’s greatest ally or biggest obstacle. For those who prefer to play solo, no Twitch connection is required.
Key Features:
- Optional Twitch Chat Integration: Give livestream audiences the power to help or challenge the streamer in real time.
- Fast-Paced Sci-Fi Combat: Dash, slash, and shoot through hostile environments with an upgradeable arsenal and uncover hidden routes.
- Dynamic Companion Gameplay: Fight alongside Prince Eiji as his abilities evolve throughout the adventure.
